Coaster with a surprise
Like a lot of Futuroscope rides this comes with a future/spacey feel to it. It’s a coaster where you sit side by side one other in a 4 person cart. You walk through an internal queuing process through various rooms of space facts etc.
The coaster ride starts inside the building as you progress by various effects such as fire and smoke simulating a rocket take off. The way the coaster twists at this point feels similar to Saw at Thorpe Park.
Then as you exit the building it launches you through outside twists and turns. There’s no loops on this ride, for a good reason. It’s a fast, thrilling g force intense ride to a rocket launch them.

In the final section of the ride it comes to a halt ready for a debrief. At this point the entire track with coaster on it drops to a lower track like Thirteen at Alton Towers which causes a few screams.

Behind the scenes...
In previous years the carts would rotate on the track to allow a better view of the starting scenes but due to an ‘incident’ the carts now only face forward. The experience is a little peculiar now as it’s not so easy to observe the starting scenes.
