Chessington

Every school in the South of England is almost guaranteed to have done a trip to Chessington! It’s the park that fills the gap before kids are ready for Thorpe Park. The rides are fun and well themed but not ‘horror’ style like other parks. Rides like the Vampire ride are iconic legends as you fly through the caves and mist. It’s a good size park with a variety of rides and attractions. However, bear in mind its appeal to school trips - pick your visit time carefully to avoid queues; also, use that school appeal as a guide as to who the park is aimed at - think probably ages 9 to 15 - that said, there are some rides that are seriously fun and a thrill. Don’t discount the park as an adult based on the age range comment.

Just to set expectations, you’re not going to find £20 million rides like Swarm here; but you will find something for everyone.
